From the electricity of his very first single ‘zensong’\, which climbed to #2 on the Australian Independent Radio charts\, through a dozen releases and over one thousand shows\, Finlay’s powerful voice and honest storytelling have brought him acclaim and a passionate following\, who have financed five successful crowdfunding campaigns\, decided his album songlists\, hosted concerts and directed videos. \nWith his plan to record an album in New York in 2020 iced due to Covid-19\, Finlay took to live streaming with his Homebound Concert Series\, and wrote and produced a new album in Hamburg called ‘Shots of Light’\, featuring an award-winning video for the title single. \nAdmission: 8\,00 € \nRegistration: reservierung@amerikahaus.de

September 2021 wird – so Corona es zulässt – an der Universität Trier eine Konferenz unter folgendem Titel stattfinden: „Diversity in / of / around Canada“ – Interdisciplinary Approaches to Canadian Diversity.\nVom Nachwuchsforum der Gesellschaft für Kanada-Studien e.V. werden fortgeschrittene Masterstudierende und Doktorand*innen aller Forschungsbereiche mit Anknüpfungspunkten an Kanada-Studien eingeladen\, einen kurzen Konferenzvortrag oder ein wissenschaftliches Poster auf der Grundlage ihrer Masterarbeit oder ihres Dissertationsthemas vorzuschlagen und die Vorschläge bis spätestens 30.
