Die Deutsch-Kanadische Gesellschaft e.V. lädt Sie in Kooperation mit der Kanadischen Botschaft und der Stadtbibliothek Stuttgart zur Lesung und zum anschließendem Gespräch mit dem kanadischen Autor Jonathan Garfinkel ein.
In seinem düsterkomischen Roman untersucht Jonathan Garfinkel die Notwendigkeit von Lügen und das blutige Erbe des Sowjetimperiums. Generationen, Kontinente und Kulturen umspannend, ist In a Land without Dogs the Cats Learn to Bark eine spannende Geschichte über eine Nation, die versucht, aus dem Schatten der Sowjetunion herauszutreten und die westliche Demokratie anzunehmen.

The German-Canadian Society invites you in cooperation with the Canadian Embassy and the library in Stuttgart to a Reading and discussion with Canadian author Jonathan Garfinkel.
In his darkly comic novel, Jonathan Garfinkel examines the necessity of lies and the bloody legacy of the Soviet empire. Spanning generations, continents, and cultures, In a Land without Dogs the Cats Learn to Bark is a gripping story about a nation trying to step out of the shadow of the Soviet Union and embrace Western democracy.
