Founded in 1984, the Saskatchewan German Council is a registered volunteer-based, non-profit organization dedicated to promoting the heritage, culture and interests of Saskatchewan people of German-speaking backgrounds. The Council plays an active role in building provincial multiculturalism and the Canadian mosaic. The Council is guided in all its activities by its by-laws as well as by a comprehensive set of policies.

The European-Canadian Centre for Innovation and Research (ECCIR) is a bilateral initiative for the development of European–Canadian research, business and industry relations. The Centre provides support for the exchange of information, development of networks, and the establishment and cultivation of collaborative partnerships in academia and business. The main goal is to enhance international knowledge and technology transfer and to raise the profile of the countries involved as centres of excellence in innovation and research.
