Summer festivals in Canada this year
Traveling to Canada this Summer? Fancy some live music and culture along with the nature and the great outdoors? After all, it has been a while since we have been able to really appreciate getting close to each other and enjoy great songs, culture in general and some laughs.
Here are some festivals you shouldn’t miss while on the other side of the Atlantic, province by province or territory by territory:

–The Iceberg Festival from June 3rd to June 12th 2022: This is a celebration of Spring coming and the arrival of icebergs. It takes place at various locations and includes food, live music and culture. Surely one of a kind!!
-Canada Day celebrations in St-John’s, if you want to be the first in Canada to celebrate. It starts with the sunrise on Signal Hill and involves birthday cake, concerts and fireworks…what’s not to like?
-Downtown Busker Festival August 5th to August 7th, with 20 shows a day.
–The Charlottetown Festival from June 18th to September 3rd, this is a Canadian theatre festival with various plays with among them: „Anne of Green Gables the Musical“ and many more.
–Cavendish Beach Music Festival from July 7th to July 9th. A very popular weekend of great live music and thousands of visitors.
–Tyne Valley Oyster Festival: oysters, food, live music and various activities await you from August 3rd to August 7th! Sounds like lots of fun!
–Cape Breton Jazz Festival from June 16th to June 19th with various Canadian jazz artists.
–Nova Multi Fest 2022 from July 22nd to July 24th: culture, live music, diversity, food and beer, what more can one ask for?
–Acoustic Roots Festival from September 2nd to September 4th, live music and activities all around.
–Apple Blossom Festival in Memramcook from June 3rd to June 11th, enjoy the beautiful blooming apple trees along with live music.
–The Shediac Lobster Festival from July 2nd to July 10th various activities for all ages, live music and lots of lobster…the perfect mix.
–Festival acadien de Caraquet from August 5th to August 15th. Live music and plenty of activities for the whole family, beaucoup de plaisir en perspective!!

–Festival d’été de Québec from July 6th to July 17th, live music (international and local artists) on various stages around the city and activities for „grands et petits“, plaisir garanti!
–Montreal International Jazz Festival from Jun 30th to July 9th a favourite for all Montreal lovers!
–Just for Laughs Festival in Montreal from July 13th to July 31st, with the best stand-up comedians from all over the world.
–Sound of music Festival in Burlington from June 12th to June 19th, live music, ferris wheel, food, parade and much more!
–Northern Lights Festival Boréal in Sudbury from July 7th to July 10th, music and arts, the perfect combination!
-Muskoka Music Festival & Dockside Festival of the Arts from August 19th to August 21st, gourmet food, artisans, activities and more.
–Agassiz Chamber Music Festival from June 5th to June 11th with various local and international artists.
–Winnipeg Folk Festival from July 7th to July 10th, local and organic food, camping, activities for the whole family and live music for everyone to enjoy!
–Rainbow Trout Music Festival from August 19th to August 21st, campfires, food, dancing, live music, everything that makes us happy.
–Ness Creek Music Festival from July 14th to July 17th, all kinds of music in one place.
–Saskatoon Fringe Festival from July 28th to August 6th, live music, theatre, dancing and more.
–Regina Folk Fest August 5th to August 7th, a live music festival with renown artists not to be missed!
–Beaumont Blues and Roots Festival June 17th to 18th. Live music and dancing.
–Calgary Stampede July 8th to July 17th. No need for introduction here, an all time favourite!
–Country Thunder Alberta from August 19th to August 21st. Can’t come to Alberta without some country music!
–Bard on the Beach Festival from June 8th to September 24th. 3 plays, opera, bbq, dinning, fireworks, the place to be!
–Theatre under the stars from July 2nd to August 22nd. Two musical hits.
–Parksville Beach Festival from July 15th to August 21st, sand sculpting competition, artisans, music and more.
–Adäka Cultural Festival from June 29th to July 5th. Aboriginal artists and performers gather in Whitehorse. Traditional music, arts, storytelling and more.
–Dawson City Music Festival from July 15th to July 17th.
–Yukon Discovery Days from August 11th to 15th. All about the gold rush.
–Arctic Development Expo Artisan Market June 14th to June 15th.
–Great Northern Arts Festival July 8th to July 17th, arctic art and music.
–Folk on The Rocks July 15th to July 17th in Yellowknife. Live music and culture, six stages, beer garden and good food.
–Alianait Arts Festival in Iqaluit at the end of June.
-Nunavut Day July 9th. Various activities to celebrate the signing of the Nunavut Land Claims.
-Inummarit Music Festival, music and activities in September.
